The gel-coat finish provides a smooth surface ready for painting, though they can be installed as-is. Keep in mind that the gel coat will fade over time if left unpainted, so a high-quality UV-resistant paint is recommended for a long-lasting finish.
These flares don't mount the same way as factory items. Instead, they overlap the metal lip under your guard and require drilling and
self-tapping screws (not included) for installation. The rubber seals included in the package help secure the flares to the body, preventing
any paint damage.
